VA Reward Seat booking question -

Certainly no exit doors there. The exits are directly beyond the bulkhead in front - which is the bar area. You'll be first off the plane if in row 4 or 5 AC. When we arrived in LAX a while back, we were sitting in the Delta lounge no longer than 20 minutes after those doors opened.

All of the PE pax will be filing past you as they (and you) turn right upon boarding, whereas rows 1-4 turn left.

I've got 5K booked for my SYD - AUH - SYD trip in June. My first time in VAi J also. Can't wait!

On the topic of seatbelt extenders, I took part in a similar thread some time ago. Even on the same aircraft in Y, I've noticed that not all seat belts are the same length.

Is this it?

Yep, that's the bar. I didn't find any intrusive noise from any 'bar flys' during flight. I tried sitting at the bar myself but I actually didn't find the stools that comfortable. That probably dissuades pax from hanging around there too long, so they probably grab their drink and go. Also possibly the crew need to make those drinks for you - certainly I don't recall pouring my own other than grabbing a non-alcoholic juice. Row 5 is definitely the place to be though.

Self serves aren't allowed (though it's not policed as well as it could be) .. down to responsible service of alcohol, but I'm willing to put money on the enforcement of it (such that it is..) is down to a number of "mishaps" as a result of letting people pour their own in the "bad old days" ;)

Agreed! :)

Now I am confused ! Lol

Row 5 is listed on SeatGuru as an "business class exit row".

Maybe I should ring them and ask ? Would really like to try Row 5 - but don't want to risk it if I need an extender.

It's in the "terms" that you can't wear an extender if you are in an exit row.

Brooke01, based on the info and experiences, suggest you change from Brooke01 to Brooke05 and experience the pleasure of row 5. It really is like a pseudo suite when you pull those curtains!
