VA, Singapore Airlines and Scoot

I suspect the answer to both these questions is "No" but seeing as I can't find a definitive answer on either the Velocity or SQ web sites, here goes ...

I'm looking at booking a possible itinerary on Singapore Airlines, putting my Velocity number on the booking. This itinerary would include a couple of flights with Scoot (SQ's budget airline). These flights will nevertheless have SQ flight numbers.

My questions are (less important) will I get SQ lounge access prior to the Scoot flights, and (more important) will I get Velocity status credits for these flights?

Any information would be much appreciated. Thank you.

If it involves Scoot, what I would do, and others will disagree, but it depends on if you want VFF points, would be, don't bite me, is to first put in your KF # to get the points from the Scoot flight.
As SQ owns Scoot, and so the points will go there onto your KF account for sure.
Then, once the points are in your KF account, transfer the points to VFF.
Yes, there will be a loss of 35%, but at the least, you won't loose out by them saying, Scoot flights do not earn VFF points, and your points claim is declined/denied.

The problem then would be that the KF account would apply to all SQ flights and I'd be worse off!

Most likely I'll carve out an equivalent itinerary that avoids Scoot. By going a tad earlier or later I should be able to use SQ only.

Yea, go the other option if your schedule can be amended that way.
I have not flown Scoot, but they are indeed cheap, and their J looks quite ok, not spacious, but ok, and you get the quiet zone, plus no herringbone seating, so if you like to look out the window, and don't mind being in quasi J, they are good.
To each their own, I guess.
Re: putting points to KF, and then transfer to VFF, yes, you do loose a bit.
On a flight all points earn, of say, 10,000 KF miles, with my idea, will be a loss of 3,500 miles at the least.
If can change around the flight times to avoid Scoot, then putting in your VFF for all the flights, SQ ones, will earn straight with VFF, so its good that way.

Thanks ... it's more the SCs important to me than the points, but I guess similar reasoning applies.
