VA SQ codeshare seat selection

Hi everyone

I recently took advantage of Webjet's birthday sale and purchased a VA codeshared flight to Seoul with SQ.

I've been trying to choose my seat. On the VA website it tells me to use the SQ website using the partner reference provided. Once I go on the SQ website and input the relevant information and try to choose a seat, it says that I need to add my email address before I can choose a seat. A phone call with SQ confirms the same and they are not able to add the email address themselves.

I've contact both webjet and VA and both said they already have my email / passed it on and there is nothing else to add.

Has anyone else had this problem - how was it resolved?

I am having this same problem now except mine was a Velocity points redemption for an SQ flight. It is a circle of stupidity and i have not been able to resolve it. All i want to do is select my seat.

Maybe i will call SQ later and see if they can help.

Hey Pele, I literally had the same issue this past week and finally got it resolved yesterday. Turns out all it took was a online request via SQ's website for them to manually allocate a seat for me! Good luck!
