Hello,
I've got some questions about codeshares (I'm still fairly new to this). I couldn't find what I was after in existing threads (my apologies if these questions have already been answered).
I'm aware that late last year, VA and SQ (re-)entered into a codeshare agreement. My understanding of this means that you can book select VA flights on the SQ website, with an SQ number and vice versa.
1) If you book the VA flight with an SQ number, then that means that you can earn KrisFlyer points even though it's a VA-operated flight (possibly at a reduced rate)?
1A) If the above is true, then could you credit the SQ flight to any *A airline (e.g. AC, UA, etc.) for that airline's respective points/status program (again, possibly at a reduced rate)?
2) I assume that this applies to domestic VA flights too?
2A) If the above is true, I tried looking for flights between Australian cities on the SQ website but nothing came up. Am I missing something?
Thank you in advance.
