VA Status credit on SIA flights

Hello,

As per https://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/...virgin-australia-singapore-airlines-alliance/ , SIA allows VA status credit earn while flying SIA business class and above.

However it also says:

"To enjoy this benefit, Velocity Frequent Flyer members must quote their Velocity membership number at the time of booking, once it has been linked to their KrisFlyer account under Profile > Partner programmes."

But none of the booking system allows you to quote "second" frequent flyer numbers. I've put the KrisFlyer number for now (KrisFlyer profile is linked correctly for VA membership)

I have already linked my VA with SIA, but is there anything else that I need to do? Should i contact SIA support line? I have a feeling they may not know about this too.

Has anyone in a similar boat before?

The way I understand it is that to earn Velocity Status Credits, you need to have the Velocity number in the booking. To also earn PPS value, you need to have the Velocity account liked to your Krisflyer account.

It does make sense but instructions were bit vague. I will probably change current KrisFlyer to Velocity and will see how I go. Might try to hit up call centre as well. Appreciate your response.

Yes, but the page referenced was about getting PPS value as well. Which requires business or above
