Aren't VA acquiring some new top line equipment soon-ish? 787s or the like?

Still confused as lax to mel on va still to operate 3 days per week. What will they do with those 777's in mel? Or is the other shoe to drop later? I have talked to dl as my award flight to mel from lax to operate next march. Been advised everything ok as after stay in mel flying va to syd, staying there than flying syd to lax. Edit: Oh poop. Now I have to google how to get from Bris domestic to International. Melb was so easy.
Yep this is correct, when you get off at Brisbane you go to the VA transfer desk and they give you a voucher and you jump on board. I only had an hour between flights so was in a mad rush to make that train! Made it though. After doing stops in Brisbane and Sydney was it that I realised how lucky we are to have both intl and dom terminals together.I believe VA in MEL give you a ticket to use the air train. If they can't/don't give you one ask the VA transfer desk on arrival in BNE at the domestic terminal.
If you take the orange Tbus it will cost you $5 pp as it's only free for pax booked on a QF flight nbr ex BNE Intl.

When I checked in at MEL earlier this year for a connection to an international flight from SYD, the BP folder had a tear off voucher toi give to the bus driver.I don't see why VA couldn't cut the same deal as QF so negating the need for a voucher.
They do this at SYD as well, for the Intl->Dom bus service, and given it's a service just for VA is still rather bizarre why you still need to hold a chit for the bus.
I guess for MEL flyers, I wonder which of BNE or SYD makes a better connection. This change also subtly affects ADL and HBA customers, and maybe CBR ones to a lesser degree.

'Mad rush' is going to be the right term fairly often I'd think for anyone from MEL going to LAX on VA via BNE who do not elect to 'over-night' in BNE.Yep this is correct, when you get off at Brisbane you go to the VA transfer desk and they give you a voucher and you jump on board. Just also consider that you could also reluctantly sample the most underwhelming & often crowded NZ lounge flying VA from BNE..
I thought that place was given a face lift?
People don't seem awfully enamoured with the other KCs in SYD or MEL, although they are bigger, possibly better food and the SYD one has a massive renovation job on the cards for it.
