We decided to splash out and use some SQ KF miles to purchase VA J flights in December.

Has anyone flown VA138 in J recently? Would love to read any impressions on the service/food/seating.

Basically the same as Dom J except you get a Tablet for watching TV Shows. The seat is wide and comfy for a 2.5hr flight, just lacking a footrest.

I would assume food is very similar to domestic flights. Pretty good but nothing to write home about.

Thanks Andyhui01, that's good to know - I so far haven't managed to locate any trans-tasman VA flight reviews more recent than early 2016, so wasn't sure how much things have changed in that time.

Flew MEL-CHC and return last week - Andyhui01 is right with his comments. AirNZ lounge in SYD is pretty nice - if you're also doing J on the return don't expect much from the international Koru Club lounge at CHC - in desperate need of a refit IMHO

Agreed, the domestic Koru lounge in CHC puts the intl one to shame.
