OO.com.au have joined Velocity several months ago and as a regular shopper from this company, I have taken up the double points offer (for which (the bonus points) I have had to wait for over 2 months after having to argue with them after they tld me that the purchase was made after the promotion period).

I was going to claim all my rewards from them but discovered that one website offers 3% cashback on purchases from oo.com.au. This has made me wonder what one Velocity point is worth (in dollars) and therefore decide through which program I should get my rewards for shopping with oo.com.au. Is there a way to work out what Velocity point are worth - I would like to hear it if anyone knows/has worked it out. Thanks

Mel -Syd fares on DJ are between $95 and $320.
Velocity points reqiured are between 7,300 and 29,800.

$95 minus $39 taxes equals $56 value for 7,300 points or 0.76 cents per point.

$320 minus $39 taxes equals $281 value for 29,800 points or 0.942 cents per point.

I'm sure it varies from route to route and from fare to fare but between 0.75 cents and 1.0 cents per point seems to be around the mark.

Thanks ColinP::) It seems that going through a rewards site and getting 3% cash back is the better option.
