Velocity award cancellation - redeposit points?

Hi All-

I am trying to understand the cancellation terms for award travel.

I find on the site you can cancel for an $80 fee. But it doesn't mention if your points are refunded or not.

Almost universally they are, but I found a post here (very old post however) that stated the points will not be returned.

Can anyone clarify?

International is $60 not $80 or 7500 points

Yes you get points back immediately

It wouldn't make much sense to charge a fee then not refund the points, they you may as well be a no show and save the fee

If you call you will get the points minus deduction immediately.

If you cancel using the website (if it allows you) you have to wait up to 5 days.
