It’s always worthwhile to remind that sometimes an Elevate fare maybe about $20 more than Gataway so with double SCs makes it very worthwhile.
Plus I’m sure there is nothing stopping the use of the %off promo codes on top.
I’m sure Virgin are fully aware of this being potentially great value for status runs etc, but with the end of the AirNZ alliance they want the revenue and bums on seats.

I'm also hoping they will try to go all out and impress pax in both cabins. I've never flown VA across the ditch (used to fly JetConnect all the time, now fly QF's A330s whenever I can to/from AKL, and SQ from WLG. This promo has seen me book my first VA trans-Tasman trip. I know the 737 won't stand up to the widebodies seat-wise but hoping the service in J will be good.

I'm probably going to go with direct flights AU>NZ on Getaway. I'm getting return fares for $366 with 40 SCs. Elevate fares are all substantially more for an extra 10 SC return; flights with stopover in AU all much more expensive for an extra 7 SC. Looking at May 19. Haven't found a single promo code that reduces these cheap fares in Getaway...

I see no reason why it wouldn't apply to any number of new flights booked within the period.

That said, there's limited info in the terms of the promo so nothing is entirely clear.

From MEL not sure there is anything 'indirect'. Also it isn't clear if any flights that aren't strictly across the ditch actually are eligible for double SCs.

400-500 is a lot.

MEL-AKL in Business earns 160 SC with 2xSC, so 3 x earns 480.

I made a mistake and forgot to activate the offer prior to booking called velocity number and spoke to the 'platinum' help and got told to cancel and rebook, great service again.

Mine seemed to show up with the original posting, I was expecting 20 SCs from a Getaway fare and got 40. Am now a Gold Member for another twelve months!
