Velocity Honors Status Match

I applied for Hilton Gold the day after you, and as I got no response to this nor my complaint, I just contacted Hilton and asked them to status match me and the did, for 90 days, which is what I needed. Im flying out tomorrow.

Did you ask them to status match your Velocity Gold or from another hotel program? How long did it take?

My review date is 25 December (even though I will have qualified for Gold almost 2 months earlier - FlyBuys promo) and I currently have 6 Hilton bookings (four of which are in the first two weeks of Jan) so I'm wondering if I'm better off just approaching them directly for a status match as I will hit the requirements to retain within 90 days...

I asked them to status match VFF Gold using the online form on their website. They refused within 24 hours, I replied back, and they approved wiithin another day or so.

I have been waiting for longer than 2 months! you were lucky!

Not sure how I'm lucky... despite being Platinum and told I'd get Hilton Diamond I instead get Hilton Gold over 2 months later.

Ones got to question if it's even worth offering "benefits" which involves such a process just to access.

Giving Gold is absurd.
