Went through 2 weeks ago with me (1 × Plat) Mrs adl73x (1 x Gold) and 2 children (red) under 11. The problem is the Gold counts for nought, only having access to the Al Reem in another terminal, so we all get relegated to that.

So a little bit iffy! Maybe depends on who it is manning the desk or maybe 2 kids push it too far. I guess we'll never know.

Thanks for the extra datapoint, it's very much appreciated.

We went through on Sunday on my platinum with wife and 13yo daughter in tow, no issues. Wife had the complimentary massage and bubbles plus a lovely cooked breakfast, couldn't fault this lounge.

Good to hear you had a great experience too.
Absolutley, i think its a great place when transiting on somewhere else, I would rank it the best benefit of platinum in terms of lounge access. Going through a few times this year and looking forward to it.

I used the Diamond lounge in Abu Dhabi on the way to/from Europe last August. Was great as my flight was delayed 3+ hours so it was a great place to be delayed :P
They did try to kick me out on the way back, as I was flying Business class. The lounge staffer didn't like the look of me, asked to check my ticket (I'd had my access granted by another person) then told me I had to leave and go to the business lounge. I showed her my Platinum card and she grudgingly allowed me stay.
There's always one! :P

Interesting - were you dressed casually? I always travel in comfortable clothes (jeans and hoody usually) so hope I don't get any attitude next week

Missed out on the lounge on my MEL to LHR flight as first leg ws delayed and had to run to make the connection

It's a matter of personal opinion but I would never wear a hoodie to a FCL. I would dress the same as if I was going to a nice restaurant.

Yes fair point - may change when i get off the LHR AUH leg

I was dressed comfortably but neatly enough. I am a guy with long hair though :P
