Re: Velocity Platinum 100k

Hi Guys - If you haven't already got one of these and you want 100,000 velocity points for signing up then please follow my referral link! We both benefit. Yes there is a $375 annual fee but you can cancel after the first year and you would have received 2 Virgin Australia lounge passes, a return Virgin Australia domestic flight, travel insurance plus 100,000 velocity points... enough to fly one way to LA in business class, or return in economy. Get onto it with my link below! A thousand thank you's to anyone who uses it.

Re: Velocity Platinum 100k

I see that this offer has been reduced to 60,000 bonus points - however it is higher than the 50k on offer through non-referral.

So if anyone is still keen, here's my referral link:

Recent changes to the earn rate have made it a better card for most users. Earn rates are now 2.5 velocity points per $ for spend with Virgin Australia, 1.5 velocity points per $ general spend and 0.5 velocity points per $ on spend with govt bodies. The points earned on this card also remains uncapped!

The 60,000 bonus velocity points are on offer after $1,500 spend within 3 months.

The pain of the $375 annual fee is cancelled out with the annual free Virgin flight (see route map) and 2 lounge passes.

As referrer I receive 30,000 velocity points)

Re: Velocity Platinum 100k

Heh,

Question to all. Looking at the T's and C's of the flight voucher, it mentions it has to be a "Saver" fare class. It says bookings in saver fare class "Q" may be booked up to 24 hours prior and all other saver fare classes must be up to 21 days prior.

What the holy honk is a "saver" fare class - Virgin Website doesn't yield a lot. The Q reference maybe to an Elevate fare as that is one of it's Booking Classes.

What do I make of this.

Thanks

Hi all,

Check out my referral link if you're still interested in the card:

As above, pretty good points earn if you're chasing Velocity points.

1.5 points/$1 spent at most places
2.5 points/$1 spent with Virgin Australia
0.5 points/$1 spent with Government bodies

$375 annual fee, get 60,000 points if you apply through the link and spend $1500 in the first 3 months of signing up. No cap to points earn. You also get 2 free Virgin Australia lounge passes and also 2 free passes to the Amex lounge in Sydney.

Also get a free return flight per year - see the flight map here --> AMXACQ2389_FlightMap

Thanks!

This is a wonderful card, with a great points earn, including 0.5pt per $ with the ATO. No cap on points earn.

I used a referral from this forum so I am posting mine for anyone who would like to share the love.

You receive 60k bonus points* with a minimum spend of $1500 in the first 3 months, and I will be given 30k bonus if you are kind enough to click on my link. (thank you so much in advance if you do xo)

* This is an extra 10k points than the current 50k being promoted on the AMEX site.

We travel with our 2 children so earning points is a mammoth quest for us to travel as a family.

The 2 Virgin Australia lounge passes are great, I highly recommend the Gold Coast and Melbourne ones. We enjoyed them immensely. The children especially loved the Darrel Lea sweet bowls.

The flight credit was really easy to use. I used it for my daughter and it was transferable, ticketed to her name. I checked availability on the Virgin website and then called up. Done in 5 minutes with an Australian operator. Easy.

The perks of the Velocity platinum Amex card:

1.5pt per $ earn on domestic spend (except ATO)
plus an extra 1pt per $ on Virgin travel spend.

2 passes to the AMEX lounge in Sydney (or Melbourne once it opens.)

1 free domestic return flight in Australia on Virgin Australia after the minimum spend. A great deal if you need to fly from the East-West coast especially!

Domestic and International travel insurance if the travel is booked on the card.

Earn more points by joining up to 4 supplementary card holders for FREE.

100 SC on Virgin Australia when you spend $50k in a 12 month period.

I really love seeing the points accumulate quickly with this card.

Happy travels.

Why are people on here trying to encourage people to use their link in order to get 60,000 points when there are many websites offering 100000 sign up bonus points.

Obviously they care more about the 30K for using their link than genuinely helping others.

If you would like 100000 points instead of 60000 just google "Velocity Platinum 100,000 sign up bonus offer".

Sorry if I offended you.
I know there was a 100k points bonus, and that is why I hadn't added the referral, but when I checked today the Amex site was only 50k.
Absolutely take the 100k if it's available!
