Velocity points… am I missing something?

Are you looking directly on VA or using a tool like seats.aero?
Correct, seats.aero, you're best friend for this.
How many seats?
If you are seeking 2, you'll need to be VERY flexible, as there is only 1 flight currently available for next year, with 2 bus class seats available.

Yep, exactly, availability 11 months out.
Start looking often at the end of November.

So I've signed up for Seats.aero Pro. I can see this via the site, but if I click on the button below to take me to my Qantas Frequent Flyer account, it doesn't exist.

Is this a common occurrence for folk using this app?

Why are you posting this in the Virgin/Velocity group if it's Qantas you are attempting to book through? :)

Good question lol

It was kind of a follow on from the above points and direction to use Seats.aero for my booking.

Happy to delete and move if its not appropriate :)

Thank you!
Using either Velocity or QFF I find J awards from Australia to Asia hard except for SQ via velocity from BNE,PER or DRW to SIN. However you can get good availability on Velocity especially from Asia.
So for September next year I got through QFF a JQ award BNE-BKK in fake J. But from there to Europe plenty of availability especially through Velocity.
Otherwise a day flight on some of the LCCs to Asia then awards onwards.

@jonedwards80 I can't answer re the accuracy of seats.aero but I wonder if this is a number of seats issue. Are you searching for 1 or 2 Business seats? I can see availability on the Qantas site on several days a week later (early November) but for 1 seat. I believe CI only releases 1 Business seat to QF...?

Perhaps yes. I am hunting for 2 business seats (my soon-to-be-wife would be super annoyed if I didn't include her in our honeymoon lol).
