Velocity points delay into account

I'm just curious if this is something others have noticed but as Velocity Platinum member for the past 5 years, I tend to be fairly observant on points I earn, as much out of curiosity as anything else.

Up until a few months ago, I found that when I flew on a domestic Virgin flight, points and s/c hit the account within 24 hours. This was all the time. If there was ever a delay it may be a weekend flight and within 48 hours it hit your account.

I look back at my last flights (prior to these in the discussion) and I flew MEL-BNE 11 Oct and back the next day. Both points and s/c were applied the evening of the day of the flight.

9 Nov I flew QR to London, with Virgin number in the booking. Took Ola to the airport and points hit the next day.

From then on, things go awry. Only the second leg (Doha-LHR) has hit my account, 48 hours after arrival in London. The first leg and both returns have yet to show.

My Ola on the return was also not showing, despite points supposedly being allocated within 48 hours of payment.

Then I flew MEL-BNE again 27 Nov and these have yet to appear.

I even moved some FlyBuys points to Velocity to check - and these hit the account straightaway.

So is it me, or has something (unknown) changed meaning that points are coming in erratically, or delayed?

And I know it is within a certain amount of time (up to 6 weeks) points hit the account, but my experience over the last 5 years has been very different to recently, hence my question if others have seen the same?

I find partner airlines can be a bit inconsistent. I’ve often had the SIN-LHR leg credited but the first MEL-SIN not credited for a week or so.

The credits for my VA flights the other week took 5 days to credit. I suspect it was because the Velocity system was being updated.

If you’re worried you could always contact VA. They respond to the platinum email address pretty quickly.

Ohhh - do you know the Platinum email address at all? was not aware of that

I had a similar delay with a day flight CBR-MEL-CBR. The return leg posted quickly but not the first leg. I had to wait the 14 days and then claim missing points (and had a message that couldn't be done on line and to contact support). Left it for a day or so as I was away and on return noticed that points and SCs have been applied.

I came here to post the same question.
I've never had an issue before, but flew United return and haven't got my points or SC and it's been a few weeks.
I've applied for the missing points and It's been several days and still nothing.

Just checking if you managed to receive this eventually and how long it took?

I took a flight with SQ last Sunday and it still hasn't posted.

I’ve found SQ to be quite inconsistent. Last Thursday I flew SQ HKG-SIN-MEL and the SIN-MEL leg credited two days ago while the HKG-SIN leg arrived this morning.

In the past, I’ve had SQ points post anywhere between three days after the flight to almost two weeks!
