Heya All

Just a quick question, can some one tell me why the difference between points awarded from Etihad to Virgin Velocity for the same flights (Return flight from my trip)?

Screenshots below

Also any ideas as to why my original flight from MEL-AUH-DUB with Etihad would be denied points & SC from Virgin?
I did a missing points claim and thats what they said? Although my return trip they credited them fine to my account.

Possibly different fare buckets?

Possibly different fare buckets?

Yer it's weird though, this is what the original itinerary said...

Dublin - Abu Dhabi - Economy/Coach Discounted
Abu Dhabi - Dublin - Economy

Would have thought the Economy/Coach Discounted fare would be less points not the other way around?

That might be intuitive but the fine print is seldom intuitive.
We would have to read the fare rules to be sure.
Also when you're mapping fare buckets between two airlines there can sometimes be perverse results.
