My girlfriends Velocity points/SC's currently pool to me. However my brother, who lives with us, is about to take a number of international flights and I would like to remove my girlfriend from pooling to me and add my brother to take advantage of his upcoming points/SC's.

If I remove my girlfriend, will all the points and SC's I've accrued as a result of her travel, be removed from my account???

After my brothers flights are complete, I would like to then remove him and re-add my girlfriend to pool to me.

Is this process possible, or am I stretching the terms and conditions too far???

Thanks for your help.

(note, I can't have them both pooling to me at the same time, as my brother is over 18).

I think that strategy will be fine. Pooling cannot be "undone" otherwise you'd be able to double-dip on SCs - consider a situation where your girlfriend pools you 500 SCs to help you get platinum, if they were removed when the pool is unwound she'd be able to use the same SCs to become Gold in her own right.

I've never had to chop-and-change pooling myself so I can't speak from experience - only from interpretation - but many here seem to have success in switching their pools around frequently.

If I'm Gold and my I pool to my partner who is Silver (so they can get to Gold) and I fly, are the bonus points for flying (50% or 75%) earnt at the Gold rate (i.e. the person who flies) or the Silver rate (i.e. the person who the points are pooled to)?

Is everything earnt and calculated on the persons who is flyings account and then pooled across afterwards?

Thanks for your answers, looking foward to the 200 SC's from my brother in a few weeks!!!

They are calculated at the rate status rate of the person they are coming from, so if they pool from you to her, the Gold bonus will be added to you base rate earn and then transferred to her. If you fly together you would be better of getting platinum for one of you.
