Velocity Redemption no Etihad Inventory from AUH to anywhere in Europe ?

I cannot see any award availability on any dates ex Abu Dhabi to Europe (tried multiple cities and multiple dates) on Etihad using Velocity points. The search engine only spits out flights on QR via Doha which i dont want to use. 2 calls to the Velocity call centre didnt help either. Does this seem strange that there's no way to use points on Etihad outbound from Abu Dhabi ? Seat spy is showing plenty of availability from AUH to Barcelona and yet nothing on Velocity site, not even economy. I dont think i've come across this issue ever before ?

Systems glitch I think as I played around with a few different possibilities and you can book say FRA-AUH-GVA or KUL-AUH-FRA as shown below all on EY but you can’t book the individual legs AUH-EUROPE or EUROPE-AUH, bizarre

do you think Velocity call centre could/should be able to split the legs and allow me to redeem a sector...very strange no originating in AUH allowed

Sounds like married segments are applied. This is where you can only book combinations, not individual legs. Married segments are set by the airline rather than seller though i.e. by Etihad, so Velocity can't override that.

No chance Velocity can split them. I asked for something more straightforward, combining two legs that were available separately but not together, and they said they couldn't even do that.
