Velocity seat redemption from HTI to MEL

I have been keeping an eye on Velocity points redemption from HTI to MEL for early next July and nothing seems to be available in either economy or business for all that time.
i would prefer the direct flights on Thurs, Sat or Sun but no availability anywhere.
Do Virgin release some seats closer to the flight date or at particular intervals?

I can see plenty of availability in May and June. I suspect more availability will be released for July in the coming weeks & months. Although I do notice that this is also the Victorian school holiday period so there's a chance the seats have already been snapped up.
FWIW I can currently see seats in both economy and business for MEL-HTI on Sunday 9 July, returning Thursday 13 July.
