Anyone else having trouble getting onto velocity site this afternoon to redeem some frequent flyer tickets?

I was on the website yesterday afternoon checking reward availability for imminent domestic travel and wide availability.


Didn't book anything. Possibly going to travel interstate to help provide care for nephews/niece.

No issues for me at all.

No issues with the Velocity site.
But AA must be swamped-had to go to their Aussie site to book an award.
,US site kept crashing.

Maybe because Virgin has cancelled all international flights until the end of June has caused temporary problems.

Waiting for some meaningful sales either in miles or dollars - ZIPPO there yet when I checked.

You'd think Virgin was operating in boom times. No leadership here at all - or using ANY initiative to create impulse flying - they will be broke in a few month unless they do.

Do a SYD-PER etc Biz ticket return for $999 and impulse buys will follow. Or a 50% off award sale. Right now 25% full planes is COSTING them money.
