Velocity Transfer Bonus - May 2023

No - it was get a 17% discount of the amount of points needed - or get 15% when you transfer from your CC provider...

That's very odd. Could you link the T&Cs? The FAQ for this promotion explicitly says you don't have to register to participate.

Be cautious about just pulling the trigger on transferring points - my son just received this 'Choose your Bonus' email...
Seems like a dog's breakfast!

I think it's best not to do anything until you get an email from Velocity.

My sister got this :

Yo sis!, transfer to earn a minimum 15% bonus*
Transfer your credit card and hotel reward points from these 20 participating partners to Velocity. When you do, you’ll receive a minimum 15% bonus into your Velocity account. Minimum points transfer, exclusions and T&Cs apply.*

Your next holiday on Points could be just a transfer away! Jump on board now, this offer ends Wednesday 31 May 2023.

Not sure how to transfer your partner points?
You can transfer as many times as you like from multiple partners before 31 May – it doesn’t matter if you’re new to Velocity or you’re a Points earning expert, it’s so easy and quick. Simply:

Step 1 - Log in and select 'Redeem'
Head to your participating partner's site and select 'Redeem'

Step 2 - Enter how many Points are to be transferred
Enter how many reward Points you would like to transfer to Velocity and select 'Update'

Step 3 - Enter Velocity number and Submit request
Ensure your Velocity membership number has been provided and select 'Submit'

If you don’t see these options in your account, find your partner instructions here:

Yeah, I got this one too. Targeted to accounts who have recently earned VFF points from cards that auto-earn/auto-transfer, I presume.

"Limited to 1 flight redemption booking per member" and VA-metal redemptions only:
Yes I also received this one. A bit bittersweet as at 130am this morning I booked a one way and intending to use Qantas points for the return. So, good I'll get some unexpected points back, but bad as I could've just booked the return on VA and got even more...!

Call to add the return sector?

Anyone transferred Citi points and not received the bonus?

Transferred 5000 points and only received 2000 to my Velocity. There was no separate line item for bonus points. Who to contact, Citi or Velocity?

Heads up, the campaign email i received only listed a subset of banks not all banks listed on the generic campaign landing page. The terms in my email, which requests i opt in, does not list Citi (i have Citi prestige card earning citi points). I have done 3 transfers from Citi to Velocity since May 1 and none have received any bonus points.

This is despite the generic promotion page FAQ's stating transfer bonus is open to everyone.

This is an absolute dogs breakfast of a campaign by Velocity with contradictory information all over the shop. I have reported the same in more detail on Ozbargain, hope others don't get burned.

I've done 2 transfers from my Citi Premier and both received the 15% bonus.

It may just be the Prestige that is having issues.

Can you check exactly what email you received? Like i mentioned above my email implicitly did not list Citi. My partner didnt even get an email (so maybe she is eligible?). Either way, the generic campaign page listing all the banks and and saying its open to everyone contradicts the email i received only listing a subset of banks/excludes Citibank and also requires opt-in.

I didn't get an email. I couldn't even find the promo mentioned on Citi's website. I transferred a small batch first. I got the bonus for that so I then transferred a larger second batch.

It would of been from Velocity. This is the generic campaign page. The email i received however different and subset of banks.

It feels like there is a targeted campaign(s) that overrides/restricts for a subset of customers only offering 15% transfer bonus for a few banks, not all listed on the generic page. Only evidence i have is that i've not received any bonus points. I contacted both Citi and Velocity customer support and they had no idea about anything and eventually said to wait and they'll get back to me...

I transferred from Citi Prestige to Velocity and received bonus points. All points were added the next morning.

Did you receive the same email i did (that did not include Citi). Brizz posted the terms above.

I believe this is what is making the whole thing actually a targeted campaign / confusing mess.

There's also a limited time, first-transfer-only 15% bonus for Fly Buys transfers. I got this offer via email shortly after joining Fly Buys a couple of weeks ago:
