I have 328,000 VFF that I was looking to use to book Delta domestic economy flights but from all I am reading across various boards here, the odds aren't good as Delta seem to release very few reward seats to VA.

Would my odds of getting a US domestic reward seat be improved if I changed my VFF to KF, given that I loose 98,400 in the conversion?

I know that economy isn't the best use of points but given there are 5 in my family, its more financially viable to use the pts than pay $$ with 4 flights and 5 people on each for us at this time.

Pay cash for the domestic US flights and then you can go BFOD and will not be forced onto any particular carrier. Less hassle also.
