VH-YIG to begin WiFI internet trials in April

Yes, I doubt the email was correct, as he came back to say that a PA announcement rambled on about the Virgin app, then everyone was reminded to put their devices into flight mode. His attempt to logon was unsuccessful so he read the paper they gave him. Only a 90 minute flight so he didn't care, but I like to track his experiences in the hope that it helps others.

I got this plane the other week on a BNE-SYD leg. Was very impressed with the wifi, solid 13mbs for pretty much the entire flight.

I'm now inflight on VH-YIG and couldn't help posting this on a thread about VH-YIG using the inflight Wi-Fi!

On the plane now, it is doing va917 this morning.
Cabin Crew announces please switch devices to inflight mode. Had it not been for the large instruction pack I would not have known.
