Vietnam Airlines - Booking Change

Hi Experts , looking for some guidance or suggestions. We have a VN flight booked from Melbourne to Ho Chi Minh city for this friday and our advance seat selection has been cleared because of an aircraft change and now only the paid seats are available. I have been trying to contact Vietnam Airlines but it has been a real pain in the back. As soon as I get connected to someone , I give them all the details and they say please wait for sometime. After few minutes of wait the call gets disconnected and it is impossible to reach them again for the second time. As we have a kid , we have paid for advance seat reservation to be able to sit together.

Can someone tell me how do I get this resolved , with less than 3 days left for the flights.

Have you tried their online chat?
A bit slow but got everything cleared this way on an AF codeshare reservation with VN.
