Vietnam eVisa troubles

Haha yes
It just bounced again.. this time it's asking for agent/organisation details!
Even though that section is not marked with a red asterix and presumably not compulsory. And I already wrote not applicable so those sections are not blank.
This is such a farce.....

What a wonderful way of pissing off potential tourists
Just double checking…
Are you using the official government website?:

ohh I think you need to input your hotel details in there too. That is what i did and every thread on reddit said to do the same thing. it is so dumb and seriously I already gave up and was actively looking for reward seats to Thailand.
Thanks! I've tried again..... Fingers crossed

I applied via that website above a couple of weeks ago and had no issues. Got my visa about 3 business days later as expected.

Yeah, I spoke to my old man on Saturday and they just did theirs again (they go regularly). Was approved no issues in about 3 business days as always.

Make sure that all the details in the issued visa are exactly correct. That's been a widely reported problem. Digits have been transposed, names have missed punctuation etc. The visa then gets rejected, by the airline, at check-in.

It's been happening on such a scale that it's doubtful all of those applications could have been faulty.

I was able to apply the visa for self and family ( partner and son) without any issue. It was seamless with all details entered as expected.

I did mine online, and was approved in the timeframe.

However, check, check and check again at every step.

I did 4 applications for 4 pax late last year...had no issues but made sure everything was correct esp photo and passport size and format (was it png or jpg but not pdf?)

Thanks for the heads up, just checked and no issues. I've got the PDF saved as well.

This is so bizarre...
Because it's come back nearly 8 times now and most of that has been some cryptic message about blank spots when everything has been filled out...
I did read something about this being a more recent thing so maybe I've been unlucky

Vietnam has updated the evisa portal 11 November 2024, hopefully eliminates the above dramas.

Just a reminder that for anyone with a UK passport, Vietnam is visa free for stays of up to 45 days.
I was going to use my UK passport, but going via Singapore and SQ wont let me put Aus passport for 1st leg & UK passport for 2nd leg in the booking :(

You don’t need to worry. If asked for your vietnam visa at checkin or transit, you show your british passport. No need to go to the expense of a visa if you don’t need it!

Doubtful - submitted a visa application to that exact website on Monday and today it is coming up with a 404 error.

Ah yes, good point. And you know why that is...

As an aside, I've been there with a UK passport with my wife (also a UK passport holder) and no probs whatsoever. Well, apart from some stall holders in Hanoi not wanting to relate to Aussies.
