Vinomofo Wine Deals

It is back in stock but at higher price - cheeky buggers
Load up!!! It actually tastes better if you pay more ;)

Has anyone purchased this and know what it is?

Pinot Noir 2022 – Black Market Deal #49354 - Red Wine | Vinomofo Australia

It seems like a reasonably well reviewed and possibly good value pinot. However, the VM uncovered app doesn't say what it is, only:

"Vintage 2022

Bottle Size Standard 750ml

Varietal Pinot Noir

Region Adelaide Hills, Australia

Closure Screwcap

This is a clever wine, in a lot of ways. We're not above begging to get our hands on great pinot noir at the moment, and when we end up with wines like this it all feels worth it."

What's thoughts on the Dead Arm at the current higher price? Now listed at $46/bottle after free shipping and a $25 voucher. I picked up a case in the cheaper earlier sale, but want to put these away long term so haven't tried any yet.

Anyone tried the 2018 Dead Arm? Worth another case?

How do you get $45 price and $25 voucher - via a broker? As on the website it is at $50 a bottle

I liked it , but I'm a beginner. Smells great and quite strong aromas. I thought it had a good amount of black fruit. Some chocolate and perhaps coffee taste. Too me felt quite plush and a decently long finish. Im happy to pay $35 for it. Ive had to control myself from opening one every night since but think I'll have to have another go tonight !

It's got free shipping, but I had a $25 code up my sleeve that seems to have expired now. Looks like I might have to stump up the $50/bottle, which it sounds like it might still be worth doing.

I would consider averaging down. but given the flood of discounted wines, I would refrain from averaging up. Particularly if you even haven't tried a bottle. Speaking from a personal poor decision making.

I tried a bottle, thought it was really good and looking forward to putting these away for a while. Though I've been told on here The Dead Arm is sometimes offered elsewhere in the sub-$40 range so personal preference on how much you're comfortable paying. You may see it for $30 per bottle tomorrow, you may never see it again at the price currently offered.

Who knows.

Anyone know what secret deal #48685 is? Doesn’t show up in VM uncovered app.

I suspect it might be 2022 Thompson Estate The Specialist, considering #48777 is the Thompson Estate Chard. The advertised retail price is accurate

You are correct, it is indeed Thompson Estate The Specialist

Smoky/oaky bouquet with toasted nuts, smoky charred timber and underlying grapefruit/citrus, which becomes much more evident on palate where the wine is very intense, concentrated and persistent. Powerful grapefruit: a very Margaret River regional style, generously oaked. Date: Jan 2024; Alcohol: 13.5%; Drink: 2024-2034; Rating: 96 Points; Huon Hooke; The Real Review

This is the team’s prestige Chardonnay. Being Margaret River, that means much is expected. And much delivered. Their best fruit is whole bunch pressed to tank for settling and then to new French oak barriques for a wild ferment. After further maturation, the best barrels are selected for blending, making only 1,845 bottles. A deep gold hue, this is a classy effort which is exhibiting excellent oak integration. There is early complexity already evident with notes of cashews, orange rind, stonefruits, spices and ginger, with a hint of lime-y acidity. Supple texture, impressive length, the wine is seamless with good intensity. A cracking Margaret River Chardy. Six to eight years. Date: Apr 2024; Price: $95.00; Drink: 2024-2032; Rating: 94 Points; Ken Gargett; Wine Pilot
