Vinomofo Wine Deals

I remember the good 'ol days like 2 weeks ago before that VM dude came on here squealing about the wines being named that AFFers actually named the wines instead of this nick name secret lingo double speak that is going on - any body know what the VIM Secret Deal 2011 WA Shiraz is that's on offer today? $50 down to $17.50?

All this code stuff is doing my head in!

Looks like you met the right girl in the park after all.
The younger sibling, the 2012 was $25 while this for $17.50.

Deep crimson-purple; while the majority of the aromas and flavours are similar to its sibling, this is unequivocally full-bodied, the black fruits with some savoury nuances, the tannins-while balanced-more powerful.

So many Amelia's .... 2011 Reserve Shiraz or the 2012 Reserve Cab Sav ... might have to buy both!

Looks like it sold out ... that'll teach me for dawdling! :(

I wish they were as quick with their deliveries.

Have had several problems lately. Including one item that took more than 3 weeks to arrive.

I have had to contact them twice in 18 months about the whereabouts of a purchase. I am in Hobart and they generally get delivered within 10 business days. From memory those two occasions were only a day or so more than the 2 weeks but I get worried, especially during the hot summer months.

Yes I wasn't overly impressed with the Ortus pinot I purchased from them a while ago....have given half of them away.

Since there is no current Black Market or Secret Deal of interest, here's some Pinot deals.
The Essenze Pinot is quite good and from Central Otago.

Its the Essenze Flagship ($57 for the non-secret version at DM) for those that were not aware or had forgotten
Good timing as I'm running out of Pinots.

WineMarket Mystery Tassie Pinot from $575/dozen to $189.

Mystery Tasmanian Pinot Noir 2012 (12 Bottles)

Rocket (since you are from Tasmania) do you know the Mystery Pinot?

[h=2]Deluxe Tasmanian Pinot Noir At A Price You Won’t Believe[/h] All hail the winemaker who’s passed on this mystery deal! The quality of fruit is unbelievable, the pedigree is top-notch and the price right now is the best you’ll ever see this kind of Pinot.
[h=3]The Bottom Line[/h]
  • Just $15.75 a bottle as a mystery- Down from an RRP of $47.99!
  • 92 Points from James Halliday
  • Winner of 6 medals (and counting!)
  • The coolest climate growing region in the country
  • Absolutely top-shelf Pinot Noir
  • Will cellar another decade if desired
  • FREE DELIVERY!
Can’t show you the label at this price, but the maker is one of Tasmania’s finest; the entire range regularly pulls in huge scores from critics and has a seemingly insatiable thirst for winning Trophies and Medals.
On top of the princely 92 Points from Mr Halliday, this vintage has picked up a Gold Medal, A Silver, and four Bronze so far, to add to the label’s impressive swag of accolades for previous vintages.
At 14% alcohol t’s a Pinot that punches slightly harder than some contemporaries, but still shows an abundance of the elegance, restraint and subtlety that the style is lorded for.
The coolest climate in Australia, and probably the best deal on any Pinot in the industry right now.
