Vinomofo Wine Deals

Any ideas what the $450 beast is? I have been a good boy lately and have chosen to try and drink some of my abundance to keep the wife off my back. But I feel a relapse might be inbound !

Get on it!

The Y & P wines are very light on, not classic barossa at all
Well we can put the free bottle to the test. It's more of a Syrah and there is a difference there. I knew this at purchase time. A bit like Victorian Cabernets. Initial approach suggests cordial but give them air and you have a beauty. I recently bought some from Tokar so being it's after 12noon, and after my four dollar domino Godfather pizza washed down with a gift from yesterday for lunch a pirraminna 2021 shiraz, white label, not reserve, which is simply stunning....I reckon I might crack the T for a comparison. Chin chin.

I did too following on from your sage referal. Good price indeed. However when Tom Hanks laid eyes on me from his elegant archery stance I was momentarily perturbed as the sale mentioned 1X Parous. Heart palpitations, primary axillary hyperhidrosis followed but after inserting the correct contact lenses my mind was put as ease. Let's hope she doesn't deliever a parlous Parous for us.
Thanks BF for your imprimatur on the Parous offer, even T. Hanks as a student of toxophily would be happy to pony up that paltry amount and get some Parous in his parlour, we should give a no-holds barred tasting note after its arrival....

I do say a parlance on the inequities and the subtle nuances of this fine fermented beverage are to be subsequent on another forum it being the "wines I have had recently". Just for both of our sakes I hope it will not be a whine but a wine to have been enjoyed and savoured to both our embellishments.

Here I go looking back on life. It is always with trepidation that I indulge myself wondering where time has gone. It seemed like five hours ago but it also seemed liked a week ago. The whisky a go go fire in Brissy must also be mentioned for its severity. Yet again i digress. I did extract the closure, the stopper, the bung, the spile, the dam,the clog, the plug, the cork for God's sake as we know it from the Tokar, the Cabernet, Victorian and oh so different from the Barossans but this is terroir with a capital T for us serious wine drinkers who try to distinguish ourselves from our pleb friends. We all have them don't we ! You will easily distinguish a Victorian cabernet with a South Oz cabernet the same way you distinguish a Macca shiraz with any other shiraz. I read the notes on the back of the Pirraminna Shiraz and those turkeys mentioned coconut. They mentioned deep plum, they mentioned a lot of things but on my second tasting, I thought i was in Queensland. Not in November as i have booked a flight but now. I actually smelt the damn coconut and no, i didn't think i was dreaming. First time ever this spice has entered my 45 year pantheon of wine enjoyment. But it was ever ever so fleeting. I pity those who start shuddering about the horse leather sweat we read about so often in wine descriptions. But the Vic cabernet as an entity is such an incredible being because of its subtlety. It doesn't come to the gala dressed like Rebecca Judd in a red low cut number ready ready to dazzle before you start. It has more reserve, a little bit Megan Gale like waiting to pounce. And what of the tiger character of the Tokar. Not quite a cheetah as such but a lovely beast, one that did need a couple of hours breathing, like a footballer with a stinky jumper, hello Chris Judd, but at the price point of about seventeen a bottle, great value providing an understanding of the varietal of this beast , the king of the grapes, which varies across the country.

time for the footy !!
