Vinomofo Wine Deals

I don't know what this is yet, but probably not Haan, 2009 Wilhemus is under cork

The other most likely one I thought was under cork too, thinking of a female (minor) nobility rank. Price, score and a/v match though.

One of my members has found a listing of it under screwcap, so most likely that one.

The price / reduction matches the same producer of the Shiraz that was the subject of some fuss and angst a few days ago.

I think this is the other brother making his appearance.
Fox Creek Wines Fox and Hound Cabernet Sauvignon.

NOTE:All of a sudden, Solution. That wasn't too hard. :D
Now still scratching my head on this female minor nobility thingy.

Thumbs up ... I didn't extend my search to include Eden Valley which is why I missed this one completely.

This little heads up may be lost among the traffic here, but I will try.

I have rolled with the occasional corkie with my vim buys, but the Stefani "The View" turned the tide.
Bottle#1 was under cork and off , so I waited a few days until a white was required and opened #2..It was also off.

Enough being enough , I emailed the help line , explained what I had done, and asked about the return process.
Hi ****,
I'm sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your wine! We only want you to be drinking wine you love, so I'm more than happy to organise a return and full refund for you

so far so good….
We are always more than happy to return a case of wine if you don't love it for a full credit or refund if you've opened 2 bottles or less in a 12 pack, and 1 in a 6 pack. If you've opened more, don't worry, we can still pick it up, we'll just reimburse you for the number of bottles you have left :)

Here the wheels fall off.. I had already explained..
(a).. that i had bottle #1 off and
(b)..subsequently had #2 off
(c)Like doesn't come into it.. it was off.. undrinkable...

The website terms and conditions don't say anything at all about returns being conditional, and there is no explanation of the conditions that apparently apply.
IMho..it's pretty creative marketing to simply ignore the reality that the wine was blown, lump me into the "didn't like the wine" basket , and credit me for only four or five bottles.

I will of course, be suggesting that the nice 'Fo respondent reconsider the credit , considering the circumstances...

Caveat Emptor…..

Actually the website does specify certain conditions for the 'happiness guarantee' these include:

"You can try up to 2 bottles in your case and still receive a full refund. In fact, we encourage you to try a second bottle, just to be sure it wasn’t just the one bottle that wasn’t right."https://vinomofo.com/returns

Opened up one of the Thompson Estate SSB the other day, really really nice. Flared up my hay fever something rotten (white wine does that to me :D) but totally worth it.

In the early days had a case of something can't remember what, both had undergone secondary fermentation, they picked up the rest of the case and gave a full refund.

If the wine is faulty they have a statutory requirement (Trade Practices Act) to replace it or give you a refund. But:
1. You may have to be more explicit than just "off".
2. You may have to provide proof of the fault, if TCA taint the cork and remaining contents of the bottle should be kept for return as the merchant may then claim from the producer.
3. If another wine fault, then a good description may suffice.

Big companies such as TWE (Penfolds etc) will replace even quite aged bottles that are affected by taint, but you have to return the bottle with remaining contents and original cork to them (at their cost) for testing.

I've had too many wines over the years tainted or with other cork-related problems and I seldom buy any wine sealed with a "natural cork" these days. But I am happy with Diam "technical corks", I've never had a problem with those other than an occasional random oxidation from one producer.

Am I going batty or did VM not release any new deals at 11am?

Edit: Seems they pulled the trigger at 11:30 today..
