Vinomofo Wine Deals

that's great news, but drop some Shakespeare on us so that we can indulge our senses as well.
I can wax lyrical with the best of them BF ;)
The colour in the glass is dense, alnigh impenetrable, not quite squid-ink black but with a cherry-tinted penumbra and the legs of a young burlesque queen. The nose is quite profound: cherry-liqueur chocolate overlaid with satsuma, vibrant and toothsome hinting at the kaleidoscope of flavour yet to come. The palate surrenders to an onslaught of plush, velvety, boysenberry coulis and cherry balsamic reduction the whole melange borne aloft by the acidic tang of the Viognier with all its brûlée-torched grapefruit and apricot flounces marking the cessation of the performance... 8/10 and left wanting an encore (which I shall partake of tonight)

Maybe you should start a "Wine lovers poetry" thread beefarmer?
because it's your idea Steady, you can start it off. However, it doesn't have to be only about poetry. I suggest it called something like wine lovers musings and amusings. That way, it's all encompassing like NEWS ... north east west and south. Where does this inspiration come from - knocking off early today.

WhiandDi where have you been for the last few years ? This site needs you and the likes of you with that prodigious talent and I have to say, I was laughing ontop of laughing ontop of laughing. Paroxysms infact. Your prose is good, and your nose is better. Great descriptions, I am there with you. No lysergic acid diethyl amide needed here. No San Franciscan sunset. No lizard king, infact, only his musings, his incantations on life are the best advice .Yeah, just keep your eyes on the road, your hand upon the wheel.

So we will have a new place to go where we can post some variety of comments. I am looking forward to the next Banjo Patterson, the next Les Patterson or the next Cordarelle Patterson.(you might have to look him up).

Onwards.................

- Gapsted

I think he Heathcote Shiraz is Gapsted Limited Release. My in laws bought recently and were unimpressed - they gave me a bottle but I haven't tried

I reckon the Heathcote shiraz maybe a Chalmers shiraz........the Arturo.

Gapsted Limited Release Shiraz Heathcote 2015 confirmed.

It arrived this afternoon in a cheap looking box, that does not appear to have any cardboard dividers between the bottles in the box.

I wish it was the Chalmers beefarmer.......

I tell you what. I think you will be pleasantly surprised as Gapstead make some nice wines. Sure it smacks of a potential cake mix formula for sara lee BUT you never know. Looking forward to a review. Think of it as a potential 2011 - oh what a poor year Glenlofty shiraz. Enjoyed a 2012 of the same with dinner. Very nice, plenty of fruit, lingering but nicely balanced acidity, a real delight.
