Vinomofo Wine Deals

When it says exclusive to the 'Fo' suspicions are raised......

I don't think it's "made for 'Fo" though.

If it was an export order, then I guess it must have fallen through (since there's no reviews/info about this wine overseas). VM probably jumped on the chance to market it.
Given the 2010 Shadrach was released just now, I'm guessing it's a similar bottling. Whether it's worth $60 is another question though, given Shadrach can be had for around $50

That's most likely true AC, I (like most) just don't put much stock into the descriptions from the Fo these days...

Reading up-thread GB Shadrach sprung to mind. VM are re-noun for inflating RRPs to make the discount look greater. If it is a cancelled export/relabeled Shadrach $180 is a ridiculously ambitious notional value! I'm not booming.

I am trying to solve the "the bottles are bloody heavy".
Two wines come to mind Poonawatta and Wild Witch which is incorrect as it's shiraz. Ditto Grant Burge Shadrach as only plain bottle.

It is Grant Burge, confirmed by multiple brokers.

It's a single-vineyard special release Corryton that was for export.

It's definitely Grant Burge.

But I can't believe it's a version of Corryton (even if for export only). That wine retails for no more than $40. VM claim the retail price is $180.

If it is it is the Corryong this is an outrageous and unforgivable lie from VM as the item is not available from the winery for $180 as they claim.

Since I heard it direct from a broker, I'm inclined to believe it myself.

I don't find it outside the bounds of the imagination that they had a small parcel of exceptional fruit in the Corryton Park vineyard in 2009 that they used to make a premium wine for export.

This is the wine, being sold through Accolades online portal.... it has also been online there for the last 3 weeks at $75.00 a bottle. Changed yesterday for mof_ to $180.

That is so dodgy! Vinomofo on the way to destroying trust.

Totally agree with this if it has in fact been listed for $75 previously. I was an early (and significant) VM buyer but my recent purchases have been very minimal. It's mainly because of the lack of decent deals (at least in relation to those early glory days) but marketing like this also starts to undo all of that goodwill they developed in the early days. I was just about to boom on some Adelaide Hills Savvy B for quaffing in this hot weather but not so sure now, this GB deal may be unrelated but reading the above leaves a poor taste in my mouth.

No steak knives either with the $720 savings on the '09 6-pack. The blurb is cringe worthy too

They have 103 different products still available from what I can see on this link:

Bah, facts never stopped me ranting and exaggerating! :)

That is still about 50% of things sold out though - perhaps my trust levels with VM are down (who knows why) but I can't imagine their flash sale was that popular, or maybe they had 1-2 cases of a lot of things

Agree. I'm not in a buying mood when it comes to VM.

They had been one of my main sources for wine. But my buying has slowed considerably and there are often much better deals available other than via VM.
