Vinomofo Wine Deals

I remember the 13 being a bit disappointing compared to the 12. Might have to revisit and open it 24 hours before consumption.

Whoops, there I am posting without checking my notes again. I was in fact referring to the '14, not the '13. I'm not sure how the '13 it compares to the '12. On Cellar Tracker the '12 seems to be rated much closer to the '14 than the '13, so I suspect you are correct.

Someone on TWF just posted (about the Amelia Park):

"I spoke to their cellar door just then; it is from another vineyard in the Wilyabrup region owned by Amelia, and as previously stated, an export label"

Does this apply to the Cab Merlot just posted, or a previous batch from VM?

The spiel for the REAL Amelia Park says: "The Wilyabrup sub-region of Margaret River is used for its consistency in producing rich fruit flavours, providing subtle and elegant aromatics and fine tannins."

So is it the same wine then, just under the Ironstone Cab Merlot export label that's mentioned on the Amelia Park page?

EDIT: Just called VM. Labeled Amelia Park, identical to cellar door bottles.

Wow. A lot of talk on here about the Amelia Park Cab Merlot. I ordered a few boxes based on my recollection of the 2012 being one of the best wines I've got from VM. Hope it goes alright

Omg!! Katy!! It's younger sibling is here...I've already ordered 2 cases. Still interested in the rmainders you had, good news we may be moving to SA, so in next month or so if offer still available?

Apparently there is also a shiraz that's from same supplier and supposed to be as good or better, it's one of the other blacket market offerings

Good to hear. I grabbed a box of the shiraz with a mate.

Also got a box of what I believe to be a Capel Vale Malbec. I'm very keen to taste this one as past vintages of the Malbec Cabernet Petit Verdot have been all time VM favourites of mine. I'm into to my last box of the 2010 and 2012. The 2011 sadly is long gone.

Mmm, i love a good malbec, would be interested in what you think of the capel vale. Had one of their shiraz's from vinomofo, but not to my taste, however one vigneron cannot excell in all varieties..
