Vinomofo Wine Deals

Warlock, thanks for posting the Marsanne link (I was being "respectful" of the offer - would have messaged - :)). It's an absolute bargain, unique Oz wonder & an absolute gem - grab some, recommended to anyone who has any sense of adventure, history or discovery. All hail screw cap - no Cork closures in verticals.

Has anyone tried this wine before? What's it like?
 
That's interesting, email - Cab Sav, open in browser and bottle label is Cab Sav but title is " Maverick 'Twins' Cabernet Blend 2015"

Who knows, seem to remember a maverick Maverick ad once before. we have both, prefer the Blend.

In the specs - "BLEND INFO 100% Cabernet Sauvignon "

I think some years they release a straight cab sauv while other years it's a blend. From the information at Winecompanion, I can't see any years they've released both. VM probably just carried over some of the copy from the 2014 release, which was Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc.
 
See yr reasoning roshea, I have 2016 Blend and 2015C/S so that concurs as well.

Still a couple of 2013 Blend left, quite keen on that !!!

These were all good value wines from Maverick and I think the AFF'ers must have bought a
truck load or two between them :D
 
I for one really enjoyed the straight 2015 Cab Sav after reading DB's positive comments some time ago (and that's coming from a committed Shiraz drinker!) might have to boom on this one...

Sent the case back after the first bottle. :( I don't remember why, but it wasn't worth even $10 for my tastes.
 
The Mav C/S is in todays email also under the C/S heading.

No reply from VM but can pretty much take yesterdays offer as being the
straight C/Sav.

Agreed, it is a great wine for the price. It's drinking quite well at the moment, now that it's had a few more month of bottle time to settle in. I cracked a bottle a couple of weeks ago and was very please with the way it was progressing. I'd buy more, but I'm still sitting on a coupe of dozen, and I don't currently have the space for much more.

And yes, it is definitely a straight cab sauv. But it's not lacking anything for it.
 
After the comments opened a Mav 2015 C/S this evening, over two hours it just got better ----> Its been many months
since the last one.

Yep, agree, an excellent wine and value for $$.
