Vinomofo Wine Deals

Know these 2017 Maverick wines are "young" but curious if any tasted to give an indication of the future ?

Just boomed on the Mav 2017 GSM a blend not purchased/tasted before but in earlier vintages very well spoken of.

Whoo, not to many replies all at once........LOL

Del'd 4 days to country Vic, well done -------temp, felt cool, another well done to Aus Post.

This evenings test, nothing outstanding but quaffable to any social red drinker, typical Maverick, a little sweet, but drinkable.

Room for improvement with age.

This forum has died since the revamp unfortunately... Twins GSM had previously been great - bought 2 dozen this time around. There's always the return button! :)

its a very interesting point you raise. Im not sure whether its the forum redesign or whether its the general recent lacklustre offerings from Vinomofo. Just as an aside, I used to work for a number of tv channels, whenever our on-air look was re-branded the ratings took a hit for about 6 months whilst people got used to it.This forum could invariably be the same unless the other pages have gained traction

True, you're right. The vino available isn't what it used to be. Fingers crossed for the GSM

I'm really puzzled by "lacklustre" label applied to VM these days. It's not the glory days of TWE offloading loads of their premium labels, but there's still plenty of good stuff around: Tahbilk 1927 Vines Marsanne, the Giovanni Rosso Barolos, Fourny & Fils champagne, the Shirvington Shiraz/Cab offerings. They had some back vintage stuff too (Torbreck Struie 2003, and Kay Bros Block 6 2005, Brokenwood Sems from 2009).

What exactly are you guys looking for?

Our university website has lost of a tonne of traffic since it was revamped recently....

On VM, my buying has dropped off purely due to decreasing my wine budget. It has to be a really good wine/deal for me to bite.

Well it feels to me GH that posts have dropped on all the wine-related threads/forums I visit on this site, to quote Robert Hughes it's the "shock of the new". I think people are slowly getting used to the new format but there's definitely a lack of buzz or anticipation in the air, maybe the new year will bring renewed vigour once the hangover(s) have subsided:)

I think you could be 100% correct. Maybe it's not that the Vinomofo offerings have been lacklustre, rather the energy and anticipation of their deals just haven't caused the frenzy of old on the site. The Leconfield CellarMasters deal for example, is the last one I recall when a purchase was simply a must. That said, i'm not on here daily so i could well have missed the odd frenzy.

I am happy with the recent purchase of Leconfield CS 2015.
