Vinomofo Wine Deals

Looks very enticing.
The rating and Raymond Chan looks similar. But the alcohol % looks a bit different 13.4% vs 14.2% including the RRP difference.
VM sells directly too.
Yes, different wines, 35355 possibly another Terravin, this one has 94 from Sam Kim and 18.5 from Raymond Chan, RRP $52 NZ in the RC note, but 13.7% a/v noted there.
TerraVin ‘Hillside Reserve’ Marlborough Pinot Noir 2011
I've been through all the Marlborough PN 2011 on both sites and can't find a better match.

Not the Geisen Clayvin? They've had a different vintage before I think

Can't see any Sam Kim or Raymond Chan reviews for Geisen 2011 on their sites.

From the Raymond Chan TN for the Terravin Hillside Reserve: " Made from a large range of clones " and " the wine aged 16 months in approx. one-third new French oak. " Matches the VM blurb quite well.

Why? I really liked the cab and was going back for more thinking I’d get Syrah too. Good to know

Didn't live up to the Eckel review in my opinion:

A vibrant, medium red in colour with a nose that is floral and fruit driven initially, but builds with bracken and savoury nuance before a gentle weave of spice. The palate has weight and presence with dark plum and black cherry that is softened and accentuated by brighter red fruits. Vanillin spice works alongside tannins that are layered with pepper and charcuterie.

The length to finish is considerable with a tar and roses like aspect that lingers.

I found it too sour, thin in body, uninteresting, and too short on the finish for my liking. And dubious it has the tannins to cellar to 2040.

Any intel on the latest VinoMofo BM Chardonnays?

35116 Probably Riversdale Estate Chardonnay 2017. Huon Hooke 81pts

35865 Likely the Willow Creek Chardonnay 2018:

35571 Possibly Ghost Rock Vineyard Oulton Estate Chardonnay

Pretty sure this:

Is this:
What’s the giveaway? The description reads like it has a picture on the label, and there’s no mention of basket press in the VM blurb. Also the RRP looks too high, noting they are quoting that from “June 2018”

There are only four JH 96 point 2015 Mclaren Vale cab savs, only two of which have the special value star, and only one of those has 5% merlot. The price on Haliday is the same as VM ($70). And the fact it's Hardy's makes sense when you read the description.

ok thanks. I don’t have access to the Halliday site, I was going off the price at Dan Murphy, which is $45. Doesn’t seem like such a bargain in that context.

It was previously offered in June 2018 at the same price with the same deal number (but different url) and a high price of $79 quoted.
