This is link - Ulithorne Familia Shiraz 2018
Thanks for that. I purchased it once couple years ago as Dan Murphy secret deal and wasn't impressed. Despite the promise of "Rich, full-bodied" I found it anything but that. It was a bit watery medium bodied at best (which could suit some people). I just thought it lacked what McLaren Vale shiraz is renown for.

In that price range I would recommend Petraringa Undercover Shiraz Shiraz 2019 – Black Market Deal #37934

Blanket statement, but I've never failed to be disappointed with a Ulithorne wine (from the last 5 years or so).

I got a 2014 pack of 6 Ulithorne Prospera from Dans recently and thought it was a fantastic red. Not sure where it sits in the Ulithorne lineup though.

I think it normally retails at $50 - doesn't mean much as Ultihorne wines are perpetually on sale. Was a very good buy at $9 from Dan back in November last year in that crazy sale. I thought about it but instead opted for Gibson Reserve Shiraz for $15.

Glad you liked it! I was wondering what it was like.

I was hesitant too because of over inflated RRP. For a 2014 it still had a lot of fruit, could age for a lot longer. I missed out on the Gibson :(

It’s The Tipsy Hill Cabernet Sauvignon by Petraringa I think

I am pretty sure it was sold for $99 before.

I find the Pertaringa generally overpriced.
I can’t judge this one but it’s shiraz sibling The Yeoman is most definitely overpriced even at its deeply discounted price of $99
I think it was the 2016 that was sold < $100 on VM.
I thought it was 2017 vintage for $99 on Dan Murphy as underwraps. Maybe I am wrong. But this aside, you can buy 3 bottles on Winestar for $125 each rather than committing to 6 on VM.
(I know that VM has a satisfaction guarantee)

I purchased 2 packs from my broker for my friends who are absolutely besotted with this wine. Just a bit worried if some of the older vintages have passed their prime?

Yes, that’s why I didn’t order any. Already got two vintages (06, 08) from FC last year during half price clearance. Not keen to gamble on the 98 and 02 from VM.
