Vinomofo Wine Deals

I can't find a Winecompanion rating of that wine either, and the 95 points isn't mentioned on the company website:

The wine companion page 404s at the moment, but there's a cached version on google tied to a 95 point rating.

Or 94 from Sam Kim. I'm not overly confident of the identification, but took a punt with a $20 code, can always send it back if it doesn't match their description.

While we're on the topic of, uh, interesting mof_ listing data, curious if you ended up going through with this Black Market #44885 Shiraz 2021 (and if it ended up being either the Hewitson or Kirrihill).

It was the Kirrihill K, it came last in a set of 6 in a tasting of 2021 Barossa / Eden Shiraz, admittedly the others were $20+ and up to/over $50pb. I was going to send it back, but one of the group liked it enough to take 6 off my hands. It was showing as a fairly simple medium-bodied wine tending to the "modern Barossa" style.

I see Reschke Empyrean 2014 for $50 just popped up. I did get 2010 couple of years ago. It came in a cough-off wooden box that I had to use my power tools to open. Amazing wine. Not sure whatever happened to vintages in between as I only ever saw 2008 offered as well as a broker deal.
The Reschke properties are located on the famous strip of 'terra rossa' soil in Coonawarra and has been owned by the family for almost 100 years. The fruit selected for Empyrean is the best on their 10.8 acre site and is only made in exceptional years.

Not sure about the vineyards, but the Reschke brand/older stocks were purchased by CW Wines.

I am on sidelines on 2014 Empyrean as I cannot be sure as per @redbigot post above, whether it was made under the stewardship of Peter Douglas or by CW winemakers.

Just received my case so I will make a decision tonight. This is 2014 vintage and it was taken over by CW in 2018
Be this as it may - 2014 vintage could have been made in 2017-2018 or even later. In the case of RSR earlier vintages (2012-2013), I strongly suspect that they have been bottled rather recently given the condition of corks and youthfulness of the wine.

PS - did your 2014 come in a wooden crate?

No ☹️😒🍷

Is Berrigan Wine Shining Rock 2022 Sangiovese
First VM boom in 3+ years 🤪 🍷
You convinced me, I boomed too 😜

I had their Merlot and Shiraz in the past and they were pretty correct and since 36CVDH is still working and it is free shipping why not 😜

Such a crazy huge amount of Reshcke coming through, it really seems a bit weird...

Thanks, I forgot to mention the code worked for me & free shipping felt like a return to the Halcyon days of being a VIM
For some reason the email caught my eye, I made a weak attempt to discover which succeeded first shot, code worked, saw free shipping ...
The ducks all lined up, every reason to think it'll be good 🍷😋

This suggests to me that there's no guarantee it will be awful... but still the volumes seem staggering
"Staggering volumes". Only to you guys here who seem to be a bit obsessed with the stuff. Lots of offers doesn’t mean huge volumes in the scale of the glut. Unless of course CW are moving other stuff under the Reschke label, which they own and can do whatever they want.
