2017 Glen Eldon Twisted Trunk was incredible but I didn’t love the 2019 I have

Winemaker changed to Jo Irvine from 2019 onwards. Slightly different style from what I’m used to with prior twisted trunks which I have loved. Haven’t tried the 2021 yet though.
Glen Eldon Twisted Trunk Barossa Shiraz 2021 14.5% 2021 VM $35.00 - screwcap, I like oak, but this is getting to the limit for me, big dark mocha/coffee hit and the fruit is struggling a little at this stage with the oak and tannin, but will likely win in the end, acid in balance. Group liked it more, #3.

Rank 5th by me in a strong set of 6 Shiraz from 2021, including Kaesler Alte Reben, Hobbs 1905, Two Hands Lilys Garden, Curator Greenock. Two Hands Bellas Garden dead last due to unbalanced acid.

I still have 4 of these (2017) left so I opened one tonight to have another taste. Ni-ice…I think when I bought it was $80 down to $20, some discussion at the time about the “reserve” label?
Very jealous, I am currently enjoying some Rockford Moppa Springs GSM 2021 but.... I would much rather the 2017 Glen Eldon

Any idea who was the older wine maker and where they went?

So you only gonna grab merely 3 cases or so?
