A great offer this week - $200 credit for bookings $1000 and above. However, still not sure whether I'm made the first 20,000 cut. Registered by late Wednesday of that first week, although have been receiving their emails.

Anyone tried making a couple of business class bookings that they can cancel later? I'm tempted to give it a go and the terms and conditions don't forbid it nor can I see how AMEX would know

Assuming you get a credit shell and not a refund then the purchase has still taken place, it would just give you the flexibility to rebook at a different time, or am I missing something? If you're talking about a refund to the card (will Virgin do that?) then it's have to be 4-6 weeks later as that's how long it takes to to get the $200...

Actually you're right, but you could then split it up over multiple flights I guess... So it would then still be worth it if you are doing 1000 of Virgin travel over the next 12 months or however long the shell lasts for

No email received for this week's offer so I am guessing the successful registration is a mistake.

I've received the $30 per booking.
Has anyone received the $50 voucher per booking? That was over 6 weeks ago?

I've received my $30 credit, but not the vouchers (I booked flights in both the "voucher" weeks). Anyone know who I should contact to query this? It's way past 6 weeks as stated in the T&C.

Just tried using mine.. Apparently it's expired.... What a load... I really don't feel like chasing this up at the moment.

Just tried redeeming and guest what? It's expired!

I'm really peeved. I called VA and they say I need to contact Amex. Funny thing is I got 2 vouchers out of this promotion. One of them works but the other doesn't.

I'm not too concerned - probably just some teething problems...it will work eventually.

ms1, any updates? What expiry date were you using, 22 Nov 2013?

Was on the phone with VA, Wright Express (the voucher provider) and Amex yesterday. The voucher number exists however it has a zero balance.

Amex promised to get back to me by this morning but unsurprisingly they haven't.

If it turns out that the flights I wanted to book become dearer by the time Amex resolve the issue I will ask for compensation.

Yes, expiry date is 22/11/2013.

Hi ms1, any further update from Amex?

Sorry to nudge.. Any news from anyone? I can't get anywhere with them about this.. Very irritating.

Two $50 vouchers sent two weeks and 4 weeks ago. And $30 posted to amex statement about 7 weeks ago. All complete for me. As i didnt have issues, cant advise the correct contact unfortunately.
