There won't be anything on the NZ site as the proposed partnership is unilateral. Unless NZ winds up their alliance with QF, NZ customers get nothing.

The page in question (on the NZ site) is for two-way partnerships with Air New Zealand, as mentioned, the VA/NZ is a one-way unilateral partnership where VA purchases seats from NZ and resells them as an 'authorised travel agent' on behalf of NZ.

So any information on the upcoming VA/NZ one-way partnership will be primarily on the VA page when that eventually reactivates.

Sorry, not laughing at you, HS-TQE, more so about the wry situation, ie, still no news, and if you put into the VA website, on a dummy booking, SYD - AKL, "flight not available" comes up, and on the AirNZ website, nothing on VA is mentioned.
If this were to go ahead, it would be months down the runway, at the least.
Do I know for sure, nak.
But I do like/love the premY on AirNZ, better than Y on VA east coast to ZQN, and then dom AirNZ to other parts of the country.

I wonder if this may mean the slow disbanding of the QF/NZ domestic codeshare if this eventuates.

Keeping in mind VA still has the smaller domestic network, thus QF group interlines are still required for NZ for the (gap) routes the VA group doesn't serve.

It's possible, oddly because it's just codeshare it doesn't need approval and was never part of the initial application.

VA website, try putting MEL - AKL in, still "uh oh", so its still at this point in time, not available to book the AirNZ flights, under a VA flight #.
If on the AirNZ website, entering a VFF # is not an option, so has to be booked from the VA website end.
But if MEL - AKL or any combo still cant be done, I dont see this going forward by Jan, who knows, maybe its not till later in the year.
Book in the AirNZ website, put in your KF #, and then transfer to KF miles to VFF, is the only way, if you have to travel Aus - NZ in Jan, and dont want to help QFs profit line.

VA would obviously like it.

Can't see how that would benefit NZ at all. Right now they've got the best of both worlds - VA booking pax on its TT services, and QF giving them a bunch of domestic traffic. Tear that up and where do the QF pax go? Increased JQ services - or maybe even bring back QF NZ.

The booking system is odd, you can't select HNL-LAS, and yes that is a HA route that must be booked via the phone, but UA also fly it (via LAX/SFO) which should be bookable online.

And as we know, too, this "agreement" is only Au - NZ, and not on AirNZ flights onwards on their other sectors.
Would be nice to go back to the real "former" agreement, ie, prior to their 2017 "divorce".
Just let us put our VFF# into AirNZ bookings on all AirNZ sectors.
Bespoke partnership with other airlines indeed, even with JB having now gone many years, nothing seems to have changed, airline partnership with VA and other airlines.

Great news. Checked some sample dates and prices come in a bit higher than ANZ directly. Comparing a Choice fare with a "theworks" fare (unsure if VA codeshare includes food and drink?) and VA is about $200 more for a return trip.
