I was going to say, that did not look like a Virgin business class meal! Emirates, maybe?and this is not in jest unlike my last post.

I thought I must have been missing something. As it's not a VA meal, I'm not sure why you've posted it here saying it's from VA535?

No. Had a G&T on two recent VA flights. However a number of advertised spirits were not available in the Sydney lounge. So is it true no more spirits in J on VA just like QF?
Nope. Had nearly a dozen recent flights in J and spirits available on allSo is it true no more spirits in J on VA just like QF?

I asked on a recent Business Class flight if I could pay the $1.50 gap between Red and Black Labels to upgrade my Scotch, and was told no.
Yes, you can buy from the retail menu at full price. (Although I did negotiate a better deal for one flight, as the Flight Leader was a Scotch drinker and empathised.)Thatās kind of ridiculous that they wouldnāt make the better one available in J yet sell it in Y.
Did they offer to sell you the Black Label for $10? I assume you can still buy things on the retail menu as there are menus with prices listed in the J seat pockets.
Just need someone to drink all the Red Label so they have to go and get some Black. Though I would assume their stock of Black in Y isn't enough to also cater for J.Business Class (complimentary):
Gordons Gin, Jim Bean Bourbon White Label, Bundaberg Rum, Johnnie Walker Scotch Red Label and Smirnoff Vodka
Economy Class (buy onboard):
all of the above for sale ($8.50), plus includes Johnnie Walker Scotch Black Label ($10.00)

SQ F I reckon, based on the salt and pepper shakers.I was going to say, that did not look like a Virgin business class meal! Emirates, maybe?

British Airways old F actually! Had the entire 17 seat cabin to myself which was a treat.SQ F I reckon, based on the salt and pepper shakers.
(Hmm, I think I need to go to the 'travel too much' thread!)
Which BA aircraft had a 17 F config?British Airways old F actually! Had the entire 17 seat cabin to myself which was a treat.
Had labelled it as VA535 for humour purposes which clearly missed the mark
Not quite. Found this old 777-200 config care of Airreview.Which BA aircraft had a 17 F config?
Did F extend to zone B?
Lol if you think QF's 717's are FIFO jets then you need to experience some of the true FIFO fleet. In WA the QF A320's are just jetstar aircraft in disguise and the Fokkers aren't great either. VA's A320's are also shocking and I'd say the most uncomfortable seats I've ever flown on.VA use B737s rather than the QF FIFO jets (B717s).
I find QLK J 717s to be quite nice actually
There's also more leg room in Y on the 717 than the 737.Agree, the 717 seats tend to be newer/in better condition than the 737s. It's a shame they don't have wifi
