I'm now sick of those water crackers. What's wrong with something salty like Jatz?

My main complaint is they seem to only carry enough meals for the number of seats. They always seem to run out of one dish. The FA's have a great patter and handle that situation very well but it can't be great job satisfaction for them.

Maybe contact the company who makes the cheese and crackers?

We're a low cos...uh hybrid carrier :)
Complain to customer feedback please, it won't change but it will be there.

We're over (well I know I am) the "I'm out of xyz, here's this for lunch) I know most of us don't care about running out of choices any more.

We give feedback but seems to fall on deaf ears. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Whatever, out of our control.

In the end it's Cheaper prices for lower standards.

That’s fairly standard… it’s usually ‘would you like some chips, nuts or a cookie’ (to go with your drink).

As a fairly frequent traveller and having sampled everything by this stage (and pretty happy with it) I always pass on the meal choice and have what ever is left. It usually means everyone in the cabin gets their choice. The only exception being yesterday when - after the gnocchi for three flights in a row - I stepped in to get first crack at the chicken :) (sorry 2F!)
We flew Business Virgin as we had not flown with them for some time, my partner is celiac so nothing to offer but chips, asked for a different flavour only to be told that yes you can have a different flavour but you have to pay for them. Looks like back to Qantas.

As I understand VA didn't use to charge for the Economy Buy On Board menu if you were in Business, but they changed this a few years ago. To be honest it's quite poor form on their part, especially if the customer isn't able to consume a normal business meal.

Normally so, however my partner was given a toastie from the BOB menu. He couldn’t eat either option. Regardless I felt guilty as I know it’s against policy, and offered to pay but they wouldn’t have it. Don’t know if being WP made a difference.

On VA314 BNE-MEL on Sunday morning, the two options both included feta (there was a spanakopita and something else frittataish) which very profoundly does not agree with me. So I passed.

They took orders in Row 2 first, where I usually expect to get first choice from 1C, but it may have had something to do with the fact that when I disembarked I looked behind me and saw that I think it was Peter Dutton and Mrs (Kirrilly, per Google) Dutton in 2DF.

(I also think another guy in the line waiting for coffee in the BNE lounge was David Wenham.)
