Virgin Australia Domestic Business Class Points Redemption

Just looking for some advise re Virgin Australia Domestic Business Class Points Redemption.

Have flights booked for 2 of us this Saturday in business class on points, however would prefer an earlier flight but these show as sold, yet id doing a paid booking there are 6 seats on one flight and 5 on the other, do you think being VA Platinum they would release these to me, or do you think they will open these up in the next day or so?

I have had no issue changing flights on awards at the lounge, that maybe your best bet.
