Virgin Australia flight thru Amex platinum credit card

does anyone have any updated experience with this?

have the free flight out tomorrow and would prefer not to pay the luggage charges.

slight sidenote - but looked up the booking on virgin today and saw they have brought flight times forward on both legs and changed the flight number on one of the legs. i guess a lot can change in 8 months!

Why not send a pm with your booking ref & question on the VA Facebook page so they can look into in for you.

I am sure this is somewhere (buried) inside the AFF treasure trove of info but I could not locate it after some 5 min.

Could you book this complimentary flight for another person (family member) or is it for the named card holder only ?

The VA flights thru AMEX come with 23kg luggage included. If you log in to VA "Manage My Booking" using the PNR supplied by AMEX you will see that there is no luggage inclusion, but rest assured when you checkin the agents will know of your entitlement.

The free flight can be redeemed to anybody's name.

FYI I booked 2 tickets a couple of weeks ago and asked what fare classes are available for the Edge card redemptions - it's Q, N & E class Saver fare.
