Virgin Australia Golds lose LAX lounge access

any links to that info? that would be grand if that's the case, would have lounge access all the way including *A in LA. I will still try giving the new Sky Lounge a go one time just to see what its like. If no good and Air NZ get a lounge in perth I would be very tempted to use them across to LAX! Even if I for go the 75% points loading.

I believe it was referred to in their annual report last year and has been spoken about at a few press conferences too.

Also, it is mentioned on the building project list for Perth Airport;

I was in the Delta lounge in Seattle a couple of days ago. It was opened in November and it is terrific, possibly the best US domestic lounge I have been in and the equal of international business lounges. It had a full bar, plenty of food options (hot buffet as well as soups and sandwiches etc.) and a spa. Yes, a spa.

Its not unreasonable to expect that this is the model for the lounge in the new DL terminals at LAX when the move happens. If that is the case people will be delighted when it does eventuate.

Yeah, the delta lounge at SFO is perfectly OK as well. Not as nice (IMHO) as *A at LAX though, but I guess we should all try to forget that that exists!

Sounds good! My return trip in April starts from SEA, so look forward to checking out the new lounge there (might as well make the most of it, because the EY lounge will probably be overflowing by the time I get to LAX!)

Yes, just found out. Very disappointing, my concern is what other lounges will follow. Here I was thinking the fall from Platinum to Gold wasn't so bad.....

I'm in the LAX EY lounge as we speak. Believe me when I say the vouchers that Gold gets is a much better deal than the lounge access in the EY lounge. Small, cramped, hot, no spare seats, no work spaces at all. The only reason I'm staying is to use the wifi to send a few emails and download some stuff before the flight.

Er, you sound like you are reporting from the boot of a coughpy purple Scion. (Train. Ways to say you died (c) 2015)

What a shame. Does anyone know when the new T2 lounge will be ready for Velocity members?

starting to think nothing will happen til they make the move, disappointing for my flight back march 7th. Really am so disappointed I loved the *A lounge.

Interesting. Would anyone know if you are Gold and travelling in J if you can get voucher and points instead?!

Me too. I'll be coming back through LAX on 9th April, and the EY lounge doesn't sound like anything to look forward to at all (that's IF you can get in, given the capacity issues).

Was just about to ask this. I return April 8th so if nothing is sorted by then hopefully I can opt for the voucher/points instead.

I'm in the same situation (Gold, travelling in J). Would be nice to have the option, but I suspect we won't :(

Saw reports on FT of "Mother's Day" for the DL move - that's May 15th ...

... I would be surprised if they made that date ...

I'm in J on VA2 May 9th so sounds like no new Delta lounge by then. So disappointing :(((
