Well I can certainly say that was a trip to remember, certainly one of the most enjoyable long haul flights I've had.

There's not too much I can critique for this flight. I'm really struggling to find anything negative to say!

-The two FAs working the W cabin provided great attentive and personal service.

-OTP on time.

-Cabin/seat kept in pristine condition. So too the lavs which were cleaned during the flight.

-Food/beverage was tasty, plentiful and served quickly. Guaranteed 1st choice before takeoff.

- IFE worked perfectly- no lag experienced.


You do certainly feel like a premium customer travelling in W, this is perhaps even better than some J offerings by other airlines.

Hopefully, I would get to fly VA long haul premium again in the not too distant future...........

How are you getting home (which was a minor issue with this fare). Might look at doing this trip in August, it will be interesting to compare it with the QF product landing up the road.

Have the two rows reffing this flight disappeared.


As for the VA Intl lounge, I unfortunately think that scaffolding is to let them change theposter board underneath.
Haven't heard anything more about a new lounge since AusBts post that they were coming early 2013.... and we are no longer in that timeline.

Agree, t'was a great TR, and the snaps were great; did you use a smart phone or dedicated camera? Pity the SYD and BNE Airport management wouldn't stop playing politics, and concentrate on improving Airline and PAX experiences as do the mid east countries.

thanks to everybody for the great feedback. Ill try answer some of your questions.

In regards to sleep, I found the seat to be very comfortable to sleep in. I dont have the details for the width/pitch but the recline was sufficient and the IFE box didnt bother me at all. Like normal economy, blanket + pillow are provided.

For photos it was taken by a mix of both smart phone + DSLR. The image quality has been degraded by me downsizing the file size so that uploading is quick and for those browsing, it wont take up too much MBs.
