Click here for a list of current Virgin Australia discount codes:

A while back VA had a discount code that could be used for (almost) any domestic booking.

Are there any discount codes that work at the moment?

Thanks!

It worked but the difference seems less than 10%.
The discount is off the base fare, not any mandated taxes, levies or charges.

A fare may be $160 with +++ totalling $40; so can be purchased for $200 in total.

Applying a 10% code gives a $16 discount off the base fare only for a total of $184.

When I tried MRV49 in mid-April, the discount was coming out at just under 5%. Tried the code on the same flights a few weeks later and the discount calculated was the full 10%. The base fares were identical on each occasion, but no idea why there was a difference in the discount amounts.

"For a limited time you can get 15% off the base fare for Domestic Getaway and 30% off the base fare for Domestic Business Saver fares on Virgin Australia for travel between 1 August and 13 September 2017.* Hurry, this offer ends at 11:59pm AEST on 22 June 2017!"

Code is
HPR46 when the email redirects to booking engine.

Obviously the business saver fares will be of most interest; plugged in a few dates and seem to be standard for sale fares offered time to time.

Nice one. The J saver is cheaper than their just finished sale fare. Shame about the small travel window.

Now that is really tempting when I have a trip to book to PER and have $424 sitting in Travel Bank. 14 hours to decide...at least one way. Brings price down to $1,269 when looking at booking in early August (before Travel Bank reduction) with benefit of either connection in SYD or MEL - why fly direct for $2,090 when I can also score better SC's??

Alternatively, MEL is only $635 (before Travel Bank reduction) - now that truly is tempting.

Well, there haven't been many VA promo codes turning up lately so I was pretty happy to find a new code from Virgin Mobile that runs thru to 31 Jan 2018.

Conditions are the same as the previous MRV49 code - so no use for New Zealand but the conditions are:

"save 10% off selected base fares on domestic Australia and selected international flights." for -"Anywhere in Australia, or internationally to Apia, Denpasar, Honiara, Nadi, Raratonga, Port Villa, Nuku'alofa, Port Moresby, or Los Angeles."

The usual 20 day Advance purchase period also applies.

The code for this is GPR69 and domestic dummy bookings have so far shown it works on Getaway, Elevate, Freedom and Business (although strangely, not on Business Saver, but that could well be a booking glitch).

Time for me to book my next set of PER flights before it loses the 332 :(

Thanks Brick, was thinking exactly the same thing yesterday morning when I had to book flights to Melbourne. Many thanks if a little late for me yesterday. I will use this code for Sydney flights instead. Cheers

It's pretty common for J saver to miss out, which means J with a code is cheaper than J saver and it can than be cancelled. I don't complain about that, but admittedly, it would be nicer to include J saver for the discount.

Nice to see POM included. Often it misses out!

Any codes eligible on the Hong Kong route yet? I figured my chances are slim but it's always worth asking
