Click here for a list of current Virgin Australia discount codes:

A while back VA had a discount code that could be used for (almost) any domestic booking.

Are there any discount codes that work at the moment?

Thanks!

Is the sale Thursday every week not a bit of gimmick? I really don't see any difference in the cost whatever day of the week I look for some routes that I am mildly interested in and it always seems to be more beneficial if on lite fares. For choice fares I see no real difference.

I fly MEL-SYD return every 4 weeks and almost always book during the Happy Hour sales. More often than not the Lite fare is reduced to $99 and the Choice fare to $119 (every now and then it's $89/$109) -- about $20 to $30 cheaper each way than during non-sales. But the only route I generally look at is MEL-SYD-MEL so I can't speak for other routes.

I've gone through all the various sites and haven't found any promo codes that work at all (in Feb 2025) for a booking in April 2025.

I'm starting to close in on the 21/28 day period so I suspect I'll have to just go ahead and book soon without a promo :-(
Short notice but Cash Rewards is offering 10% until midnight.

Blast. I missed that and had to settle with 4 percent cashback ..still happy I bought in the "current" Virgin sale PER-MEL-PER with choice fare for tennis AO26 for a bit over 500 dollars return. Nothing like forward planning....😂🤭

Am I right in my understanding that these promo codes are only valid when booking direct with VA on their website (or call centre, perhaps?) ? If I were to ask my work TA to book these with the promo code - would they be able to do it from their booking systems?

They will only work on the consumer VA website, not anywhere else.

The calendar pricing is a weird thing. I was looking at some SYD-MEL flights for a couple of weeks' time and every day in the week said "from $130" but as soon as I clicked on a Tuesday it went to "from $229" so in what world is the $130 fare relevant? I changed it to a Wed departure and it stayed at $130. Now searching for a discount thus my visit here but nothing going. Is it the end?

that your outbound flight is from $130 and if you were to return the same day your inbound flight would be from $229

I had an inkling that was the case but it's not very clear looking at it. Thanks, now I know.
