I have an upcoming PER>BNE on the all Y-class 737-7 in a few weeks. Due to schedule, unfortunately can't change. Thinking of getting row 3.
If it's all Economy, then row 3 may not have extra legroom?

I think a couple of the 700 series (the older ones) also have business. Not the former KLM ones.

Between the there and back. Boarding a total shemozzle, running hr+ late with no informative announcements, no reasons given, onboard crew totally disinterested in any passenger that wasn't in the process of paying for F&B. Captain made no introduction and only announcement was on descent. Had far better rides on JQ with friendlier crew (and of course a couple worse - JQ can be inconsistent like all airlines).

Over a few instances in last 5 years, VA seems to be "OK" if nothing goes awry, but as soon as there is a hiccup or delay or weather, they totally lose it.

Edit:, oh and on the single class 737, the seats had that old and loose feel, if you moved in the seat it rocked a bit and if you leaned back, it "gave" a bit

Suspect leg room though even down the back but better than JQ?

Is Row 3 middle seat as wide as the others? Curious as I do notice that despite other seats being available.people seem to pop into the middle seat at row 3 despite row of 3 being shown free behind n economy X.

I've flown on one of the 737-700 Y only aircraft.

I sat in row 1 (economy X), which for foot space is the same as row 3 on the 737-800's.

The issue is the seats are very narrow, and I think they are probably the same as the refurbished Virgin Fokker 100 seats which seemed to be a lot narrower when they replaced them.

On my second ex KLM -700 I overheard the CSM explaining to another crew member that these aircraft do have an onboard wifi entertainment system but it doesn’t work with VA’s platform and engineers are working on resolving. They gave the impression that it’s been a while in the works.
