Can't exactly help, but the T&C's avalable through the webjet offer

Thanks Mark, this is helpful.

It looks like now it will not be possible to check online whether the eligible fare category is available - this might make booking for the 2 for 1's (more of) a headache!

Just booked three flights with the new Virgin Australia. I've only flown DJ once before and the price of that ticket was $1. Unfortunately couldn't get a flight that cheap, however, grabbed a pretty good value flight to Perth - only $139! (compared to Qantas at $199) Prices are good, however FF program looks a bit lacking.

I am wondering any of the Virgin Money CC holders with the "2 for 1" offer have tried to book since the restructure?

It looks like there is no longer a "Go Fare," but the Terms and Conditions on the Virgin Money Website have not changed. How will fare availability be determined?

"Go!" and "Blue Saver" fares have effectively been combined under the new "Saver" fare - essentially the bottom fare bucket of "Saver" maps to the former "Go!" and availability will be the same - just under a different name.

Velocity is soon to be revamped, the Virgin reps here have made sure to tease us appropriately without revealing a hint of detail. ;)

If you thought you got teased out about the rebrand.... wait until we start on velocity!
That reminds me to pop a time in the diary to post this weekend..... ;)

Anything that starts with a "pla" and ends with a "num" would be a good start! ;)

VA don't have choice anymore, they HAVE to create another level (or 2) above VA Gold to remain competitive with QF.
QF have Platinum and the newly unveiled Platinum One (and CL if you want to be pedantic).

For once, pax will be on the winning side of things, which doesn't happen often in the airline industry.

I agree, it is probably inevitable - though they could always make VA Gold more exclusive and harder to obtain (with potential kms/miles earning over $ I think this will be the case anyway)... Also if they do join Star Alliance or Sky Team (*A please) the 'value' of Velocity would need to be higher to give comparable *A silver or gold... I assume...

I like it and I don't - I fear as a regular on the Syd-Mel run (almost always in economy) and only occasional J international fares that Platinum will be out of my reach :( ... but we shall see...

Also the casual entry/annual passes to the Lounge will need to be reviewed and no doubt the price increased.... my 2c :)

Oh now that just downright mean. ;)
As I said on twitter. Feel free to share your ideas with me. I won't tell. :P

Would you prefer Platinum, or Diamond?? I'd have thought VA would go for a different "precious". Diamond would work nicely.

Just been released! Virgin/Qantas frequent flyer merger! ;)

I had the exact same thought.... funny then - not today ;)

but my, that would be a scoop...

I vote Liam to be the Sunday lurker who texts us the news: after all he is a young whipper snapper full of energy!

Maybe we will open up VirginAustralia.com.au tommorow morning to find a huge star alliance logo in the bottom corner?

Or am I dreaming? ;)
